Happy birthday

38 years younger, stronger and wiser. I’m grateful for the last 37 of life experiences and relationships. A question that I was asked last year and I’ll repeat and answer it again.

“How old do you feel?”
Mentally, I feel 38. Physically and spiritually, I feel 28.

Today I woke up.
I’m healthy, love wealthy.
I’m alive, time to thrive.
I’m blessed, no stress.
I’m truly grateful.

Pebble by pebble

When the Brick by brick strategy seems too difficult a task for building a strong life foundation or a new life altering habit, take it down a level and apply the Pebble by pebble strategy.

What is the Pebble by pebble? Basically I reference pebbles being the starter habits that fill in the little cracks in our foundation. Brushing teeth, making your bed, reading a few pages of a book, flossing, 8 glasses of 8oz water, etc.

I’ll continue refining this strategy and get back. Stay tuned.

Whoop

Pulled the trigger on a Whoop band after reading a review from the5krunner.

What is Whoop?

The Whoop logs your movements 24/7, collecting data 100 times a second. Average heart rate, calories burned and your daily activity provide cues for what the device calls ‘day strain,’ while heart rate variability and resting heart rate change your recovery score. Each night, the Whoop app tells you how many hours of sleep to get. It also tracks your time in bed and sleep performance. These hard numbers are helpful if you know what to do with them, but luckily the app breaks down whether or not you need to sleep more, workout harder or improve your fitness.

“Success is inevitable if you keep moving.” – Tim Grahl

“The only thing that matters is that you keep going. The only way you truly fail at a marathon is to stop taking the next step. Sometimes you’re running, sometimes you’re walking, and sometimes you’re crawling. It doesn’t matter. If you’re moving forward, you will succeed.”
